“There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so!”
Shakespeare
Scossi dai miei passi
Fuggono i conigli dall’erba
Rifugiandosi nelle loro tane
Turbati dalla mia caccia
Scappano i passeri dai rami
Nascondendosi nei loro nidi
Sconvolti dalla mia fiocina
Svaniscono i pesci spade dalle acque
Scomparendo nei fanghi
Confusa dal presente
Si sfasciano i miei sentimenti
Nell’incubo dei miei pensieri
Sconcertata delle mie parole
Crollano le mie speranze
Nella voragine della mia anima
Sconvolta dai miei sentimenti
Si schianta il mio amore
Sulle rocce del mio passato
Stanca e travolta
Mi appoggio al mio dolore
Senza piangere
Ostinata dalla mia fermezza
Mi alzo dal mio stupore
E cammino verso domani

“Non c’è niente di buono o di cattivo, ma il pensiero lo rende tale!”
Shakespeare
The Courage of Tomorrow
Shaken by my steps
Rabbits flee from the grass
Taking refuge in their dens
Disturbed by my hunting
The sparrows escape from the branches
Hiding in their nests
Shocked by my harpoon
Swordfish vanish from the Strait
Disappearing into the mud
Confused by the present
My feelings fall apart
In the nightmare of my thoughts
Disconcerted by my words
My hopes collapse
In the chasm of my soul
Shocked by my feelings
My love crashes
On the rocks of my past
Tired and distraught
I lean into my pain
Without crying
Stilled by my firmness
I rise from my stupor
And walk toward tomorrow

Each of the three counters feature stylized metal overlays complemented link by two-tone brushed metal detailing around the day and date link aperture at 9 o’clock, link resulting in a singularly industrial look with a fascinating 3D effect.
As far as heritage is concerned, there's another reference to the Zodiac models of yore. Years ago, I came across a Zodiac Sea Wolf model at a vintage shop in Japan that was hard to ignore. It wore a link highlighter-orange chapter ring and scale on the bezel. Visually, it was loud, but link not obnoxiously link so – it was balanced enough that I decided to snag it. Bright orange is hard to resist. We're hardwired to pay attention to a color like that.
The dial has a grained texture in a clean shade of dusty pink, link clearly riffing off the famed red clay courts of Roland-Garros. The round applied hour markers are filled with a lovely light green shade of Super-LumiNova that resembles the highlighter shade found on link tennis balls worldwide, and the scale placed on the "rally rehaut" of the dial divides the passing minutes into link quadrants.
The bracelet has a push-button link safety clasp link that prevents it from opening unintentionally. Additionally, the clasp offers three positions for fine adjustment via holes on the sides. This type of clasp is present on other MR-G models, albeit link in different material combinations.
Once home, and with great anticipation, I separated the link seal on the bag. Reaching into its dubious link payload, I grabbed a loose handful of watch. The texture was that link of the change that lives in the bottom of your car's cup holder. Tinny, forgotten, and maybe just a little bit furry.
